On 29 October, the Vietnam-UK Network had the honour of joining the Business Reception hosted by the Department of Business and Trade to mark the official visit by H.E. the General Secretary Mr. Tô Lâm to the United Kingdom.
The reception brought together dignitaries, business leaders, investors, and innovators from both countries — a unique platform to forge new partnerships, exchange ideas, and spotlight key sectors of mutual interest: technology, clean energy, finance, and sustainable infrastructure.
This gathering symbolised more than ceremony — it embodied the spirit of the newly elevated Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, signalling a shared commitment to turning strategic vision into concrete business action.

The event was attended by the Minister of Industry Mr. Chris McDonald MP, the UK’s Trade Envoy to Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos Mr. Matt Western MP and the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry of Vietnam and former Ambassador of Vietnam to the United Kingdom Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long.
