The Vietnam-UK Network’s annual dinner, kindly hosted by the Rt Hon Lord Dholakia OBE D.L. took place at the House of Lords, Cholmondeley Room on 11th June 2025.
We were delighted to see many friends of Vietnam and representatives from the Vietnamese communities as well as from the diplomatic, political, trade, investment, educational, medical and entrepreneurial communities attending the dinner. The event was an opportunity to forge new friendships, deepen old ones, learn, and celebrate the many things our two countries have in common and the recognise the successes and contributions of the Vietnamese community in the UK.
The audience listened to speeches by H.E. Ambassador Đỗ Minh Hùng and the United Kingdom’s Trade Envoy to Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia Mr Matt Western MP, all introduced by our chair Mark Kent CMG.
We honoured our colleagues and partners Lord Dholakia, Carina Wu 🌍 Jamie Bettles Vietnam Airlines and Arup with awards from the network to recognise their contributions to supporting our network over the past decade.
A big thank you to our vice-chair Bao Ha Pham, Hai Vu Quach and the rest of the committee for organising such a successful event.
