On 30 October, H.E. the General Secretary Tô Lâm delivered a forward-looking keynote speech at the Vietnam-UK High-Level Economic Conference in London, underlining Vietnam’s determination to:
• Strengthen its institutions, accelerate reform, and remove investment bottlenecks;
• Prioritise cooperation in green finance, fintech & digital banking, and human resource development in international finance;
• Foster deeper linkages between UK businesses and Vietnamese enterprises via technology transfer, capacity building, and integration into global value chains;
• Ensure a transparent, stable, and investor-friendly environment for UK and international companies, while encouraging Vietnamese firms to invest in the UK to deepen bilateral ties.

At the event, the two sides agreed on a wide range of cooperation, covering finance, customs, clean energy, climate adaptation, and digital innovation.

The audience also listened to two in-depth panel discussions on green energy investment and the development of international financial centres in Vietnam.

As the Vietnam-UK Network, we believe this conference—and the spirit behind the keynote—marks a turning point: from strategic vision to actionable collaboration. We look forward to supporting our members, partners, and stakeholders in translating the momentum into impactful projects that benefit both nations.
