The UK-Vietnam Network celebrated its 10th Anniversary in some style at the annual House of Lords Dinner, generously hosted by Lord Dholakia.

VUKN Chair, Mark Kent, joined Ambassador Long and a host of others in a packed event to hear Sir Alok Sharma give the keynote address, where he commented on the strong ties between the two countries and the joint responsibility we all share in dealing with the climate threat.

Ambassador Long highlighted the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam in the modern era, while noting that trade and ties between the two stretched back centuries.

Lord Dholakia, Mark Kent and Mark Garnier MP were among the other speakers who also paid tribute the work of the Network over the past decade and the vision of the those who inspired the creation of VUKN such as Ben Chapman, Paul Nash and outgoing Chair, Warwick Morris OBE.

All in all, a tremendous evening with friends old and new.
