The Chair of the Vietnam-UK Network (VUKN), Mark Kent, met with Ambassador Đỗ Minh Hùng to formally welcome him to the country as the new Ambassador of Viet Nam to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Mark was also pleased to note that Ambassador Hùng will take over the role of Honorary President of the VUKN from Ambassador Nguyễn Hoàng Long.
Ambassador Hùng brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in diplomacy, having served in various capacities within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.
During their meeting , Mark told the Ambassador that the entire Network was very much looking forward to working closely with Ambassador Hùng and his team to explore new opportunities for collaboration in a number of areas including trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange. He added that the arrival of a new Ambassador marks a new chapter in the relationship and looked forward to supporting his efforts to further strengthen the bonds between Viet Nam and the UK.
