Committee of the Vietnam- UK Network meeting

Quarterly meeting:

“The Committee of the Vietnam -UK Network held its first in-person meeting in three years at the Embassy of Vietnam on 14 July 2022. The Committee listened to reports by the Embassy of the key areas of focus for the Embassy in the near future including promoting the Green Agenda (renewable energy and conservations) and digital transformation. The Committee and the Embassy had a good discussion regarding plans to celebrate the 50th Year Anniversary of the Bilateral Relationship between the UK and Vietnam and the 10th Year Anniversary of the Network in 2023. The Committee also, among others, reviewed its achievements and activities carried out in the first half of 2022 and discussed plans for the rest of 2022, including proposals for an AGM in November and signing of a renewed MOU with the Vietnam-UK Friendship Association in October.”

“The Vietnam-UK Network expresses its sincere thanks to the First Secretary of the Embassy of Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Le whose term is soon coming to the end for her contributions and support to the activities of the Network in the past three and a half years. Her broad thinking, dedication, hard work and initiatives have helped connect people and brought about meaningful impact to the activities of the Network, which in turn helped foster stronger ties between the UK and Vietnam. The Network wishes Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Le and her family every good wish for the future.”
