Friendship Order and Medals given to Honorary President, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the VN-UK Network

The President of Vietnam has conferred the Friendship Order on Ben Chapman, Honorary President of the VN-UK Network, and awarded the Friendship Medal to Warwick Morris, Executive Chairman of the VN-UK Network, Paul Smith, Executive Vice Chairman of the VN-UK Network, and Katrin Kandel, CEO of Facing the World.

The Order and Medals were presented on 9 October by H.E. Mr Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, at the celebration in London to mark the 45Th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the UK. The Friendship Order is awarded to foreigners who have made great contributions to building, consolidating and developing friendship between Vietnam and other countries in the world. Ben Chapman, already a holder of the Friendship Medal, recently stepped down as Chair of the Vietnam-UK Network.

The Friendship Medal is awarded to foreigners who have made significant contributions to Vietnam, and helped build economic ties and other links between Vietnam and their countries.

Over 300 people attended the evening event in Central Hall Westminster, co organised by the Embassy of the S.R. Vietnam and the Vietnam-UK Network to celebrate 45 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
