Meeting with the Vietnam Intellectual Society

On 28 April 2022, the Vietnam-UK Network led by the Chairman Warwick Morris together with Bao Ha Pham, Son Ngo and Jakki Lydall had an online meeting with Dr. Que Anh Dang (ViceChair) and Dr. Van Huynh (Treasurer) of the Vietnam Intellectual Society (VIS) in the UK and Ireland.

As a newly formed group, the VIS plays a key role in bringing together the Vietnamese academics and scientists working in over 50 universities and research institutes in the UK and Ireland offering expertise in over 30 disciplinary areas. Other than to support its members, the groups is also actively involved in wide ranging initiatives and projects with a number of provinces in Vietnam (including Da Nang, Ha Long, Binh Duong). The group offers their expertise to help the Vietnam’s provinces to find solutions to pressing issues such as environment, conservation, sustainability, healthcare, education and digital transformation. Both sides had a good discussion on mutual collaboration and support of one and another.

The VUKN is looking forward to working more closely with the VIS team in the future.
