VNUK lunch with Gareth Ward

The Vietnam-UK Network held a lunch on 20 September at the Lansdowne Club in honour of Gareth Ward, who recently ended a very busy four year posting as Britain’s Ambassador to Vietnam.  Hosted by VUKN Chairman Warwick Morris and Vice-Chair Matt Jackson of KPMG, the event was mostly aimed at and attended by the Network’s much-valued sponsors, including representatives from NashTech, Prudential, SHINEC, Arup, Pagoda Projects and Jardines.
Warwick thanked Gareth for his and his Embassy’s past support, which included participation in several of the Network’s virtual events during COVID.
Gareth talked frankly about some of the highlights, challenges and developments arising during his tenure, in his usual lively and informative way. It was clear from his remarks and the questions he answered that the bilateral relationship, in an ever-widening range of fields, is in very good shape.
